Acts 12

In Acts 12 evil King Herod throws Peter in jail but the night before his trial an angel of the Lord comes to him and miraculously helps him escape while the chruch is earnestly praying.

The furious King Herod goes to Cesarea and delivers a public address from his throne as the people chant that he is a god. Because Herod did not give praise to God, he was struck down by an angel and died. But the Word of God continued to flourish.
