Acts 6 & 7

In Acts 6 & 7 we see the first seven chosen to serve in the church as the Apostles are committed to prayer and preaching the Gospel. Stephen is accused of blasphemy as he proclaims the truth about the past of Israel and their denial of Jesus as their Messiah.

But Stephen is full of faith and power and has the face of an angel as he stands firm in his call to share the Good News of Jesus Christ to all who have ears to listen. Stephen is stoned to death for his faith but he sees Jesus standing at the right hand of God ready to receive him.
